To cope with an exponentially increasing global mobile data traffic, PROSE (previously known as Rosenberger) is providing a wide selection of 5G antenna solutions which include Massive MIMO, Multi-Beam, 8T8R Beamforming, Small Cell, Hybrid MIMO, and FDD/TDD Hybrid antennas.
PROSE has collaborated with several major global OEM suppliers to develop 64T4R and 32T2R 5G massive MIMO Advanced Antenna Systems (AAS) in 2300/2500/3500/3800MHz bands. These massive MIMO systems can generate many high gain narrow service beams, fully steerable on both azimuth and elevation planes, allowing very high-capacity gains by allocating the same resource block to different users in different beams simultaneously, enhancing cell edge throughput, minimizing intercell interference, and maximizing SINR, etc.

For scenarios like low-rise urban, sub-urban environments, where the vertical steering is not necessary, the use of FDD Multi-beam is becoming a more cost-effective alternative to Massive MIMO. PROSE has many multi-beam antennas operating within 698-2700MHz and supporting from 2 to 9 beams (Nona-beam). They are proven to be very effective for capacity enhancement by allowing higher order cell-splitting.

For sub-urban and rural environments, TDD 8T8R beamforming is a viable solution as the antennas are capable of steering the high gain narrow service beams over the azimuth plane, which gives higher cell edge SINR, better in-building penetration, and throughput. PROSE provides TDD 8T8R beamforming antennas operating between 1710-2690MHz, as well as 3.5GHz.
For densely populated hot spots, PROSE provides several excellent small cell antenna solutions which operate in 4T4R and 2T2R modes, and cover 700MHz/2.0GHz/3.5GHz and 5GHz bands, including panel, quasi-omni, and omni whip antennas. They feature reduced sizes and weights, superior PIM performance, robust designs, and the innovative latest generation of NEX10 connectors.

To meet the wide range spectrum needs of multiple system sharing, PROSE provides multi-band MIMO antenna solutions integrating all sub-3GHz bands with support of up to 4T4R for each band. These solutions may have 30 or more RF ports with independent tilt control of each band. A massive MIMO array of 3.5GHz can be further added in, to form an "All-in-one" Hybrid MIMO antenna which supports both traditional 3G/4G and the new 5G NR, excellent for an industry where cell tower space is limited and the lease costs are increasing as operators are desperately seeking ways to optimize their networks.
The introduction of Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (DSS) in 5G SA mode brings a new category of FDD/TDD hybrid antennas, which existing multi-band FDD bands operating in 4T4R are combined with TDD 8T8R beamforming array of 3.5G NR in a single antenna. This has proven to be a very popular and cost-effective solution to deploy NR2600/3500 and DSS over the existing FDD bands.
