PROSE has also developed product carbon footprint methods based on ISO methods, creating a clearer basis for lower-impact product development.

Current directions include high-gain antennas, cable-free or reduced-cable solutions, platform-based and modular architectures, low wind-load products, smaller and lighter structures, and improved repairability. These choices help reduce material demand, simplify deployment, and support smoother product evolution over time.

PROSE is exploring recyclable thermoplastics, lighter structures, reduced use of high-impact materials, and simplified process steps. Development directions also include lead-free soldering, solder-free feed solutions, cleaning-free sheet metal processes, glue-free sealing, and reduced plating. Together, these actions help lower resource use, reduce pollution risks, and improve production efficiency.
